Joanne J  Hirons (Albert)
Joanne J. (Albert) Hirons, 60, of Gardner, died peacefully Sunday, December 24, 2017 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center of Worcester, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
Joanne was born in Moncton, N.B. Canada on April 20, 1957, the daughter of Clovis Albert and the late Yvonne (Cormier) Albert.
She graduated from Gardner High School with the Class of 1976. Joanne received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School of Fitchburg in 1981, and she was employed by Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for several years prior to retiring in 2008.
Joanne was a member of Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church of Gardner.
She enjoyed gardening and cooking and loved spending time with her family and her dogs.
Besides her father, Clovis Albert of Moncton, N.B. Canada, Joanne leaves her husband of 35 years, Neil F. Hirons of Gardner; one son, Jonathan F. Hirons of Boston; one daughter, Karsa M. Hirons of Phillipston; two brothers, George Albert and his wife Barbara, and Jacques Albert of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; seven sisters, Rose Schella of Moncton, N.B. Canada, Rhea Barre and her husband Dennis of Ann Arbor, MI, Roberta Keane and her husband James of Hubbardston, Stella Sutella and her husband James of Mashpee, Paulette Walsh and her husband Greg of Hubbardston, Francine Deslauriers and her husband John of Rindge, NH and Monique Albert and her partner Norman Mason of Westboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m. in Annunciation Parish/Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols Street, Gardner.
There are no calling hours.
