Rita M  Meunier (Cormier)
Rita M. (Cormier) Meunier, 88, of Gardner, died peacefully but unexpectedly on Monday, September 4, 2017, in her residence.
Born in Gardner on December 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Boucher) Cormier.
Rita was employed by Simplex Time Recorder of Gardner as an assembler for 20 years, retiring in 1985. She was previously employed by Menne Cleaners of Gardner.
Rita was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church of Baldwinville. She was a guest member of the Otter River Sportsman Club, where she assisted with serving their barbeque dinners.
Rita enjoyed dancing, sewing, and playing cards, cribbage and ping pong. She also enjoyed trips to Mohegan Sun with Wilson Bus Company. She loved to cook and host all family gatherings at her house; she was known for making the best rappe. Rita had a beautiful voice and a love for music. She loved her family deeply, and enjoyed making people happy.
Rita was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Romeo A. Meunier, who died January 17, 2006; and her son, Bruce J. Meunier, who died in December 31, 2005.
She leaves three daughters, Susan B. Bronson and her husband Robert of Templeton, Pauline M. Stewart and her husband Albert of Otter River, and Paulette M. Jaillet and her husband Thomas of Templeton; daughter-in-law, Marie Meunier and her significant other, Roderick Malcomson of Baldwinville; two brothers, Robert Cormier and his wife Barbara of Gardner, and James Cormier and his wife Cecilia of Gardner; one sister, Leona Kelley of Gardner; eight grandchildren, David Bronson, Tammy Bronson, Shonda Stewart, Carrie Piermarini, Jennifer Caprio-Jaillet, Bradley Jaillet, Brian Meunier and Kelly Singer; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 11th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1 Forest Street, Baldwinville. Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon .
